Storyboard

This section of pre-production is my Storyboard. I have completed this aspect of pre-production as I believe it helps people to understand the outline of my plot and the structure I want my short film to be ordered in. I have presented it this way as I believe it is informative and shows the storyline clearly and believe that people will understand the storyline as an impact of this and should be able to visualise it better.

Cast and Crew

This piece of pre-production is my Cast and crew list. I have completed this to show what roles each person is going to be taking on. For example I am taking on the three roles of Director, producer and camera operator and I have assigned 3 volunteers to each character role. I have presented this is a table to show clearly what peoples roles are. This will mean that everyone should know what role they have when it comes to the day of filming.

Swot Analysis- Horror

This piece of pre-production is my Swot Analysis and for this I chose to analyse the genre of Horror. I have created this to show the strengths and weaknesses of filming a horror and also what the opportunities and threats/risks may be. I have presented every subheading in a different section and used bullet points to explain each as I believe it makes things simpler to read. This will have an impact as this could help people to pick which genre of film they think would be most appropriate based on these points.

Film Treatment

This piece of pre-production is my film treatment. I have completed this as it outlines the setting, genre, characters and synopsis that I want for my short film. I have presented it in this way as it is simple to follow as I have given my film treatment all the essential subheadings it needs. This will have an impact as people will start to understand what my film entails. 

Sources of finance

This piece of pre-production is my source of finance pros and cons. I have completed this to discuss the different types of finance and the pros and cons to them all. I have presented my source of finance as a table because I believe it makes it easy to understand the pros and cons to each source of funding. I believe this table will have an impact as it could help others to chose what source of finance is the most appropriate for them. 

Action Plan

I have completed this pre-production activity to ensure that everything is planned out in its correct order before filming and this secures the fact that it will be successful and organised. The process I went through to create this action plan was to think of all the elements involved in pre-production and create a mind map then order all these aspects on a timeline. I believe these steps will ensure that I will have a successful production project.
