Production Schedule

This piece of pre-production is my Production Log. I have created this to list all the aspects of pre-production planning I have completed and to also have each section in chronological order of what I established them in. I have presented my production log in the format of a table as I believe it makes it easier to understand and also a lot clearer. I believe that when people look at this table they will think its quite organised and simple to comprehend.

Proof of equipment booking

This piece of pre-production is my equipment booking. I have completed this to make sure I can borrow the equipment from the Media Department at Sixth Form for when I want it, I have also listed the equipment I would like to borrow. I filled in the Media Departments equipment booking sheet and decided to take a photo of it and present it in this way for proof of booking. This will mean I will be able to access the equipment for the 2 days I want to do my filming.

Proof of permission to film in school

This piece of pre-production is my proof of permission to film in school. I have completed this as I thought it was essential to get location permissions as this would ensure I wouldn't get in any trouble. I presented it this way as I believed an email would be the best way to contact school rather than a letter. Getting permission means I have the all clear to film inside school and will avoid any problems.

Letter to local council

This piece of pre-production is my letter to the local council. I completed this as I knew it was very important to ask for permission to film in the locations I wanted to film in or I could potentially get in a lot of trouble. I presented this in a letter format and sent it to the Dinnington Town Council as I believed this would be the best way to get a response from them. This will mean I will be able to film in these locations when it comes to filming day.

Location Recce

This piece of pre-production is my Location Recce. I have completed this to state the locations I am wanting to film at and how I am going to get permission to film in these places and who I am going to get permission from. I have presented my Location Recce in a table format as I believe it looks very understandable and straightforward to read. I have also provided pictures of where I want to film as I believe it helps people to visualise how things are going to look. This will have an impact as the cast and crew will already have an idea of where they are going to be filming eventually.

Call Sheet

This section of pre production is my call sheet. I have completed this call sheet as it is needed for informative details such as cast and crew roles, the different camera shots and what outfits I ideally want the cast and crew to be wearing. I have presented my call sheet in a table format as I believe it is a lot easier and clearer to understand in this layout. By creating this call sheet it is likely that people will be highly organised and know what days to come for filming and what they are expected to wear.

Production Log

This piece of pre-production is my Production Schedule. I have completed it to give myself a checklist of all the pieces of pre-production I need to complete to be successful. I have also given myself a target date for each piece of work to stick to meaning that I could keep up with all the aspects of pre-production I needed to do and giving myself plenty of time to do so. I have presented it in a table format as it is easy to follow and as this production schedule is essential to keep me on track it needs to be simple for me to look at. I believe creating this had a big impact as it meant I had a plan and a target for when each aspect of pre production had to be done and this helped me to keep on track.

Budget Plan

This piece of pre-production is my Budget Plan. I have completed this to work out how much things would cost and then I have came to compromised how I'm going to still get the materials I need but without a price as my budget is £0.00. I have presented it in a table format like most other aspects of my pre-production planning as it is easy to understand and doesn't overcomplicate things. This budget plan will have an impact as it shows the crew where we are going to be getting these materials from that are needed such as borrowing the camera equipment from Sixth Form's Media department.

Release forms

This piece of pre-production is my Release Forms. I have completed this to send to the members of public that will be participating in my short film to make sure they have permission to be in my film and also whether they have any medical conditions or take any medication which would mean I would have to be extra precautious. The form also asks for their contact details and someone else's such as a parent or a guardian in case we need to get in contact with them for some reason. I have presented this in a form format as I believe it will be easy for people to fill in and quite self explanatory. This will be essential as I need to know whether people have medical conditions as I will have to take extra precautions for their safety.

Meeting notes

This piece of preproduction is my meeting notes. I held a meeting with Sophie and Reanna and we discussed what was good about my pitch and was risky. I thought it would be important to write these down as it helped me to improve certain parts of my pre-production. I have presented my meeting notes in bullet point form as it keeps things short but informative. I believe these notes will have an impact as they can help other people to improve their pre-production by thinking about risks they hadn't even thought of themselves. It's also essential to receive feedback off of others.

Film Pitch meeting

This piece of pre-production is my Film-pitch meeting. I have completed this to discuss with other people what my short film is going to be about and to also get feedback from them to see what they think, as it is essential to see what others think you could improve on or what they think is good about your work. I have presented my film-pitch meeting in a video as it believe it helps to make things more visual and to show people what we actually discussed as a group. I believe this film pitch meeting has impacted me to make a few improvements with my work but has also told me what people thought was good about my work.

Script

This piece of pre-production is my Script. I have completed this so that the cast know what the dialogue is going to be and what tone of voice they are going to say things in. I have presented it in a typical script format as I believe it is more familiar to people as they will be use to seeing this type of script. The bold typography also makes it a lot easier to read. My script will have an impact as cast will know exactly what to say and how to say things along with their body language which results in people knowing what they are doing.

Storyboard

This section of pre-production is my Storyboard. I have completed this aspect of pre-production as I believe it helps people to understand the outline of my plot and the structure I want my short film to be ordered in. I have presented it this way as I believe it is informative and shows the storyline clearly and believe that people will understand the storyline as an impact of this and should be able to visualise it better.

Cast and Crew

This piece of pre-production is my Cast and crew list. I have completed this to show what roles each person is going to be taking on. For example I am taking on the three roles of Director, producer and camera operator and I have assigned 3 volunteers to each character role. I have presented this is a table to show clearly what peoples roles are. This will mean that everyone should know what role they have when it comes to the day of filming.

Swot Analysis- Horror

This piece of pre-production is my Swot Analysis and for this I chose to analyse the genre of Horror. I have created this to show the strengths and weaknesses of filming a horror and also what the opportunities and threats/risks may be. I have presented every subheading in a different section and used bullet points to explain each as I believe it makes things simpler to read. This will have an impact as this could help people to pick which genre of film they think would be most appropriate based on these points.

This piece of pre-production is my film treatment. I have completed this as it outlines the setting, genre, characters and synopsis that I want for my short film. I have presented it in this way as it is simple to follow as I have given my film treatment all the essential subheadings it needs. This will have an impact as people will start to understand what my film entails.
